‘Action Draw — Stationary Movements’ is an experiment on converting analogue bodily movement to digital data which then is reorganized into a digital drawing. It is a further exploration of the topic of  ‘Action Draw — Figure and Free Drawing’.

In this work, I attempt to explore in specific, in what capacity the smart phone sensors are able to capture body movements.

In this project, varying input methods such as accelerometer, gyroscope and teslameter from a smart phone are used to record body movements. Many conversion methods were attempted as well.

In the case of acceleration as input and lines as primary output shape, thicker and bolder lines were used to represent stronger force detected.

Teslameter was used to explore the direction faced as input.
