Straight Forward is an exploration on the effect disorienting outer stimulus has on identity.
Parts of our identity is dependent on the existence of entities outside of ourselves. By interacting with them, we gauge, judge and assimilate and detach ourselves. Straight Forward seeks to ask the question ‘what happens when the outer stimulus change drastically?’
In this work disorienting visual cues were used to invoke a lost sense of scale. The phrase ‘Follow your heart’ directs attention to the existence of personal identity at the end of the tunnel.
