“I left my bottle by the water” is an infinitely running time-based generative painting. The changes to the canvas occurs almost imperceptibly. It encourages the viewers of this hyperconnected fast paced world to slow down and see the figures that form from ebbing and flowing patterns. The painting uses an image as the source material. The photograph is taken apart, with its representative meaning stripped away and it is reconstructed with rules that has no logical significance to humans. It aims to provide an alternative mode of operating in the often utilitarian and logical realm of technology.
